Obituary for Arther George Taylor

Tannersville, VA

Arthur George Taylor, age 73, passed away Friday April 27, 2018 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. He was retired form Pounding Mill Quarry in Bluefield, VA, and was a member of Crabtree Chapel Methodist Church. George was preceded in death by his first wife Irene Arms Taylor; parents, Samuel and Roby Arms Taylor; son, Arthur George Taylor, Jr.; daughter, Connie Phibbs; several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife Debbie Hunt Taylor; son, Rick Taylor and wife Tammy; step-sons, Adam Hayes and Jamie Hayes; brother, J.C. Taylor and wife Nyoka; sister, Naomi Collins and husband Hershel; 7 grandchildren, Steven Phibbs and wife Kaitlyn, Brandon Phibbs and wife Alisha, Chase Taylor, Kendra Taylor, Rachel Taylor, Stephanie Taylor and Ben Taylor; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday April 30, 2018 at Henderson Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Crabtree Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
