Obituary for Betty Jo Chapman

Saltville, VA

Betty Jo Chapman, age 71, passed away peacefully in to the arms of her Lord and Savior Saturday May 26, 2018 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN surrounded by her family and friends. She was a loving, kind compassionate woman who helped anyone who needed it, even though she had many illnesses since 1986, she never let that get in her way of being happy. She was always smiling, joking and being a wonderful lady.
Betty Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Vaught and Bessie Chapman, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is survived by two special cousins that were like brothers, Rick (Hope) Davidson and Donald (Tina) Davidson and their families; adopted brother, Skipper Chapman and family; many cousins, friends and her Church of the Nazarene family; two special friends, Linda Larimer and Betty Russell who were like a sisters who loved each other dearly.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday May 29, 2018 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Wilson and Pastor Jamie Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in the Elizabeth Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Special thanks to all of her doctors and caregivers during all of her illnesses.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Church of the Nazarene in Saltville.
