Obituary for Lois Ruth Stillwell

Saltville, VA

Lois Ruth Crawford Stillwell, age 87, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, May 29th 2018. She was a very humble and caring person. Lois was a proud loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Lois was a life long member of the First Christian Church in Allison Gap. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Crawford; her beloved husband Asher Stillwell ; brothers Tom and Brack Crawford; sisters Agnes Perry and Norma King; grandson David Gillespie; son-in-law Jim Gillespie.

She is survived by her son Bill Stillwell and his wife Rita of Saltville, VA; daughters, Patty Booth and husband Eddie of Saltville, VA, and Brenda Gillespie of Saltville, VA; grandchildren, Neal and Scott Booth, and Daniel Gillespie; great grandchildren, Madison, Ashlynn, Gracynn, Isaac, and Ella Booth, and Dylan Gillespie; step grandchildren Mark and Mike Ferly; sister in laws Patty Crawford of Saltville VA, Patty Crawford of Bristol VA; eight step- grandchildren; eight great step- grandchildren several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Friday June 1, 2018 at Henderson Funeral Home with Rev. Herman Cress officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the Elizabeth Cemetery.
