Marshall Edward “Bud” Brickey
Waynesboro, GA

Marshall Edward “Bud” Brickey, age 53, of Waynesboro, GA, passed away unexpectedly from injuries received in an auto accident on June 11, 2018, in Burke County, GA. Bud was preceded in death by his father, Edd Brickey and his brother, Bob Brickey.
Bud worked as a millwright and mechanic of exceptional ability. He will be fondly remembered for his love of fishing and his talent for making friends. Bud never met a stranger. He had many friends in both Georgia and Virginia that he loved.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Dye Brickey of Waynesboro, GA; his son, Eric Brickey of Waynesboro, GA; stepdaughter, Sheena Dyches of Augusta, GA; stepson, CW Currie of Electra, TX; his grandson, who brought him great joy, Christian Currie of Electra, TX; granddaughter, Marley Currie of Electra TX; mother, Dorothy Brickey of Saltville, VA; sisters, Lisa Rolen of Saltville, VA, and Tiné (Mike) Wassum of Saltville, VA; mothers-in-law, Joyce Shuford of Augusta, GA, and Frances Dye of Midville, GA; brothers-in-law, Howard (Debbie) Dye of Augusta, GA, Pat (Lori) Dye of Waynesboro, GA, Daryl (Tennie) Dye of Midville, GA, Steve (Ann) Blankenship of Olanta, SC; sisters-in-law, Angel Dye of Missoula, MT and Sallie Shuford of Augusta, GA, Debbie (David) Willis of Frisco City, AL, Kelly Brickey of Saltville, VA; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly!

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday June 14, 2018 at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Saltville, VA with Rev. Chuck Harris and Rev. Benny Frye officiating. Graveside service will follow at the Allison Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday evening at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Saltville, VA.

Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday June 16, 2018 at South Haven Baptist Church on Hwy 25 in Hephzibah, GA with Brother-in-law Pat Dye officiating.
