Saltville, VA Albert Douglas Anderson, Jr., age 85, passed away on January 1, 2021. He served as a Marine and was a longtime resident of Saltville. He worked at Olin Mathieson and as a Saltville police officer, and he was an active member of the Saltville Volunteer Rescue Squad for many years. He later retired from Beavers and Cecil Contractors. He loved fishing and told many stories about the one that got away. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Billie Sue Anderson and his sister, Nancy Swain. He is survived by his son, Douglas Anderson (Peggy); his sister, Beulah Swiger; Granddaughter Sacajawea Taylor Wilson; brother-in-law Bob Ratcliff; niece Lisa Nanko (Paul); and nephews Gary Ratcliff (Richard Worden), Al Swain, and Jeff Swain.
