Andrew Sanders "Tony" Olinger, age 78, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, August 21, 2023. Tony was born on September 6, 1944 to the late Roy and Clara Belle Olinger. Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Olinger, Jr., Rev. C.C. Olinger, Joe Bob Olinger, and Dan Olinger, his sisters, Frances Farmer, and Hilda Crabtree. Tony was a member of the Spoon Gap Free Will Baptist Church. He loved attending Church and he loved the Lord and his family. He was employed as a truck driver for many years at Mid Mountain Distribution Center in Abingdon, Va. and other companies.

Tony was a kind, loving husband and person to his wife, Edna for 17 years. Including his wife, he is also survived by his sister Joyce Tuell that he loved dearly; stepdaughter, Patty Montgomery; step grandchildren, Anthony and Kristopher Stiltner, and Justin Rouse; and a special niece, Kelly Ann. Tony and Anthony prayed every night together as this was a very special time for them to give thanks to the Lord for all their blessings and to pray for their loved ones.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Saltville, Va. with Pastor Herbert Bailey officiating. The family has requested that everyone please meet at the cemetery.
