Obituary

Annamarie "ReRe" Turner McNew Saltville, VA Annamarie "ReRe", age 56, passed away at home in Saltville, Va., surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Hopewell, Va., to Roberta Owens Perkins and John Steven Turner who preceded her in death. She had just recently been diagnosed with cancer and lived the remaining days of her life with such hope and a full appreciation of life. She had just enrolled in school to finish her master's degree. She was a graduate of Thomas Dale High School in Chester, Va. in 1983. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree from Strayer University. She was a Mom to two boys, Dustin Wayne Adams and John Thomas Harris; Grandmother to eight grandchildren, Anastasia Adams, Dustin Adams, Jr., Akasha Adams, Damion Adams, Christinamarie Harris, Samantha Harris, Alexis Harris and John Harris, Jr. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and filled every piece of her heart. She loved listening to Bob Segar Radio and Kid Rock. She loved people and humor. She attracted people with her inner light and humor; everyone felt at ease with her and enjoyed being around her. She was at peace with her diagnosis and still kept her joy, humor and all-around love of life. Her attitude was, "I am going to live until I die." She kept true to those words. She was a great sister to Melissa "Missy" Turner and truly loved and appreciated her brother-in-law, Gary Clear; cousins, Donna Clear, Ann Clear, Michelle Clear, William Townsend, Jr., Jill Reid and Jimmy Doyel; very dear aunts, Judy Harrison and Mary Ann Creggar; and her uncle Don Clear. She also adored her nephews, Shawn, Robert, and Cory McNew. Loves she also had were, Ethan Clear, Brittany Clear, and Chase Clear; very special friends, Lisa Marie Miller, Johnny Wendell, Carol Mutter, Kyle Clark, Tim Henry, Dale Presnell, Mike Ferley, Brenda Lawson, her Pastor and friend Mike Maiden; and of course, her girls from the Lily Pad, Annalise Montgomery and Hudson Arnold. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Friends Community Church and/or St. Jude's Charities. These are places that were very special to her. A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Friends Community Church with Pastor Mike Maiden officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. Online condolences may be expressed at drhendersonfuneralhome.com. The D.R. Henderson Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Annamarie "ReRe" Turner McNew family.
