Anthony "Ralph"
Davis
Apr 17, 1953 — Jul 6, 2026
Saltville
Saltville, Virginia
Anthony “Ralph” Davis, age 73, peacefully returned home on July 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Ralph was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, and friend whose greatest joy in life was the people he loved. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 23 years, retiring in the reserves. His dedication to serving others and his love for his country were qualities that earned the respect of all who knew him. Ralph's greatest adventure began at the Tastee - Freez in Chilhowie, where he met the love of his life, Kim. Together, they built a beautiful life and shared 48 ½ wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and kids. To Ralph, there was nothing more important than those he loved. His family was his greatest accomplishment, and he wanted for nothing more than to have them by his side. When he wasn't spending time with his family, Ralph enjoyed getting lost in a good history book. Though his family is missing him more than words can express, they find comfort in knowing exactly where he is today, rejoicing in the presence of his Lord and Savior, whom he faithfully trusted.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Genes Davis; and father-in-law, Dean Parks.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Kim Davis; children, Adam Davis and wife, Jennifer, Megan Davis, and Cody Davis; his mother-in-law, Katie Parks; sister-in-law, Denie Boyd and husband, Rick; special friends, Vicki Wilson, Nelson Teaters, his truck-driving buddies; and a host of many other loving family and friends.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the compassionate care provided by the doctors, nurses, and staff at Duke University Hospital.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Main Street Christian Church, 702 East Main St., Saltville, VA 24370, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Celebration to honor Ralph’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Stan Dunham officiating. Military rites will be rendered by the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
Ralph believed in helping others and giving back whenever he could. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice in Ralph’s memory.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his trucking buddies.
