Archie Allen Thompson, Sr., age 64, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. He was a graduate of R. B. Worthy High School. Archie loved hunting ginseng and playing his guitar. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary Pauley and John F. Thompson; brothers, Charles, Preston, Ray, Clarence, Johnny, and Jerry; one sister, Frances Clark.

He is survived by one son, Archie Allen Thompson, Jr. (Maggie); daughter's, Candie Sanders, and Dare Lester (Joey); grandchildren, Trey Sanders, Franchesca Sanders, Brady Sanders, Abel Lester, Bentley Lester, Amariah Stallard, Landon Casto, Roger Casto, and Braxton Thompson; great-grandchildren, Noah Stallard, and Liam Casto; brother, Paul Thompson; sisters, Beulah Coe (Everett), Opal Spears (Emmet), Connie Kerley (Steve), Eva Davenport (Whrenza); several nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Halsey officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. The family is requesting casual wear or camouflage.
