Barbara Jo Charles, age 77, from Grundy, VA, passed away at her daughter's home in Glade Spring, VA on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Barbara was born on July 9, 1946 to the late Albert and Mary Amyx in Connersville, IN. Barbara was retired from Wal-Mart after many years of service. She was of the Baptist faith. Including her parents, she was preceded in death by Diane and Donnie Hopkins and sister, Juanita Landers.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Eddie Charles; daughter, Melissa Coalson (Johnny) of Glade Spring, VA; sons, Billy Hopkins (Tammy); and Jimmy Hopkins and wife all of Kentucky; sister, Ciny Norka of IN, and brothers, Roger and Ronnie Amyx of Kentucky; 7 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
