Barbara Henderson Hindle, formerly of Washington County, VA, departed this life on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Lewis Gale Medical Center, Salem, VA. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 20, 1940, the daughter of the late Joseph Alexander and Charlotte Base Henderson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Vincent Hindle, Jr., and a sister, Marylou Henderson Uridge; Brothers-in-law, Carl Uridge, Thomas F. Engle, and a Sister-in-law, Linda Hindle.
Having been employed in numerous positions throughout her life, she retired after 15 years of service from the MWI Pumps Company of Deerfield Beach, Florida as a Bookkeeper and Assistant to the owner.
Mom was baptized in Jesus Name at Shiloh Way of the Cross Church of Christ of the Apostolic Doctrine on November 15, 2015 and filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. She was an active member of the Shiloh WOTCC Missionary Board, The Way of the Cross Church of Christ, International Missionary Board, the Shiloh WOTCC Women's Fellowship Department and Christian Education Class. She had a special interest in the youth and supporting the youth programs. Mom loved reading God's word daily and worshipping God with the Saints at church. She also immensely enjoyed regular travel with her Bishop, First Lady, and the Church family over the years.
Barbara leaves to cherish her loving precious memories: a son, Kenneth Hindle (Lorenza) of Milford, MI; a daughter, Leslie Hindle of Salem, VA; a sister, Elizabeth Henderson Engle of Dowagiac, MI; two granddaughters: Samantha (Peter) Szpilchler and Veronica Hindle of Milford, Michigan; Sister-in-law, Linda H. (Russell) Mangiapane of Waterford, MI, and brother-in-law, William Hindle of Chesterfield, MI; several nieces, a nephew, numerous cousins, the Shiloh Way of the Cross Church of Christ Family and friends.
Celebration of life service will be on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hiram Henderson Family Cemetery, 27122 Poor Valley Rd, Saltville, Virginia 24370. Bishop Earley Dillard, Officiating.
