Barbara Faye Thomas Ward, 56, passed away on June 4, 2025, at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Tennessee after fighting many years of serious health complications with strength and grace. Barbara was born on June 20, 1968, in Abingdon, Virginia. She was a loving wife, mother, and sister, who deeply cared for her family and cherished every moment spent with them. Some of her happiest times were spent in the outdoors, kayaking, fishing, and spending time with family and friends at the cabin on Flat Top and Laurel Bed Lake. Her kind heart, strong spirit, and love for life will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Thomas; grandparents, Fred and Edna Thomas; sister-in-law, Deborah DeBord; and brother-in-law, Joe Barrett.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 36 years of marriage, Alfred "Tiger" Ward, Jr.; her two children, Matt and Amanda Ward; her father, Andy Thomas and wife Karen; brothers; Shannon Goble and wife Jen and Joey Goble; sisters, Deborah Holman; sisters-in-law, Tamela Hahn, and Becky Barrett; mother-in-law, Shirley Ward; special aunt, Freda Thomas; several nieces and nephews; and special fur babies, Nugget and Little Bit.

Services for Barbara will be held at a later date.
