Betty Lou Blevins Stallard Saltville, VA Betty Lou Blevins Stallard, age 70, gained her angel wings on Tuesday, January 17, 2022, at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN due to Covid-19 complications. She was a lifelong servant of our Heavenly Father, and proudly wearing those wings now. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claudie and Ruby Mae Blevins; and her brothers, Awney, James, Elmer, and Joe Blevins. First and foremost, Betty loved God and doing his work. For many years she taught the word of God. She loved talking about the Bible and telling people about God's work. Her last church she Pastored was The Pentecostal Holiness Church in Aistrop Hollow in Saltville Virginia until Covid-19 hit. Her door was always open to anyone in need. She touched many lives spiritually. She also loved her family dearly. Betty was a wife, sister, and even though she had no children of her own she was a mother to many. Among other things Betty's specialty was sewing, gardening, cooking, and canning which she passed on to her family. You never left her home hungry and without a box of food. Other than her duties as a homemaker, she worked at Superior Mills and Valley Healthcare in Chilhowie, Virginia throughout the years. Betty is survived by her husband, Harold Stallard; her three brothers, Ervin, Paul Daniel, and J.D. Blevins; and many special nieces, nephews, family, and friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Hawkins officiating. The burial will follow at Laurel Valley Cemetery in Troutdale, VA. The family will be receiving friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Mickey Blevins, Jr. Blevins, Daniel Blevins, Jimmy Blevins, Josh Blevins, and Chris Blevins will be serving as pallbearers. Online condolences may be expressed at drhendersonfuneralhome.com. The D.R.
