Betty Katherine Cacy Puckett went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 29, 2022, at 8:00 P.M., surrounded by her family. Her physical struggle is now over, and she has been given a new body. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. She loved Jesus and prayed for her family and friends tirelessly. She was a dedicated member of the Church of God of Prophecy but had also worked faithfully beside her husband as he pastored The Saltville Church of God of Prophecy, before they retired. Her church family was always close to her heart. A special recognition goes to Mike Barbrow, who was like a son to her and a brother to her children. She will be missed by all who knew her, but she is now cradled in the arms of Jesus. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Dallas Wade Cacy and Evelyn Thomas Cacy; brother John Cacy; and daughter, Robin Mabe. Left to cherish Betty's memory is her husband, Harmon Levi Puckett; sister, Marie Cacy; three sons, John Puckett (Terry), Mark Puckett (Pam), and Sam Puckett (Darlene); one daughter, Michelle McAllister (Don); grandchildren, Danny, Johnna, Bryan, Zak, Macaela, Katie, Whitney, and Levi; and ten great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Monday, August 1, 2022, in the mausoleum at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring, Va., with Pastor Danny Mefford officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet the family at the cemetery. Danny Puckett, Bryan Puckett, Zachary McAllister, Levi Mabe, Devin Collins, and Michael Barbrow will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at her daughter's home at 29446 Lanier Drive, Meadowview, Va., where she spent her last few weeks of her life. Those wishing to express condolences online may do so by visiting www.drhendersonfuneralhome.com and signing the online guestbook. The D.R. Henderson Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Betty Katherine Cacy Puckett.
