Betty Philis Puckett, age 79, was called to her heavenly home on Monday, May 26, 2025 at her home in Saltville. Betty was born September 19, 1945 to the late Fred and Denton Galliher. Betty was a Godly woman and loved her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Saltville. Betty loved to garden, fish, cook, sing, and enjoyed playing bingo. She loved her family and always enjoyed family get togethers. Betty loved the outdoors, camping and traveling with her husband Swanson.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Jeff "Crusher" Puckett and Allen "Big Al" Puckett; siblings, Jimmy, Elizabeth, Maxine, Revonda Darlene, and John; and son-in-law, Frankie Pauley.
Those left to cherish her loving memory is her husband of 64 years, Swanson Puckett; daughters, Katie Pauley, and Trish Campbell and husband Kevin; sons, Johnny Puckett and wife Christa, and Chris Puckett and wife Tina; grandchildren, J. D. and Rachel Pauley, Arville and Amy Pauley, Andrea and Jon Bailey, J. R. Puckett, Lockie Puckett and Katie Hash, Dallas, Nathan, Katlynn, Ray and Chris Campbell, Kelsey Harris, Kiersten and Cody Taylor; great grandchildren, John and Sadie, Josiah and Abigail, Noelle and Waylon, Zariah and Alamar.
Funeral services for Betty Puckett will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville, Va. with Brother Eddie Craft and Brother Bill Haywood officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring. Those serving as pallbearers will be J. D. Pauley, Arville Pauley, Kevin Campbell, John Pauley, Jon Bailey, J. R. Puckett, and Trish Puckett Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be Sammy, Freddy, Joey, Paul, Buddy, Billy Stiltner and Ron Herald.
