Billy Monroe (Kiser) Davidson

On October 15, 2025, surrounded by those who loved him most, Billy Monroe (Kiser) Davidson, 73, of Saltville, Virginia, finished his earthly journey and went home to be with the Lord.

Billy was a man who loved deeply and lived simply. He was the steady heart of his family — a devoted husband, a proud dad, and a Papaw whose love knew no limits. For 52 years, he shared an unbreakable bond with his wife, Sandy Davidson, and together they built a life rooted in laughter, hard work, and unwavering devotion.

He is survived by his sons, Shane and wife Jennifer Davidson, and Eric and wife Mandy Davidson; and four grandchildren who were the light of his life — Lindsey, Kiptyn, Fallon, and Kynlee. Billy's love for them was unmatched, and he never missed a chance to remind them how proud he was.

He is also survived by his siblings Lois Hess, Revonda Surber, Boy (Tina) Davidson, and Cathy Davidson; a special sister-in-law Bell Johnson; special nieces Leslie, Emmy, and Alayna; and several nieces and nephews whom he loved as his own.

He was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Bill and Frances Davidson; his in-laws, Buster and Frances Stewart; his sisters Shelby Wright, Dreama Minton, Penny Price, Connie Davidson, and Melly Price; his brother Mack Davidson; and his beloved daughter-in-law, Staci Davidson, along with many cherished family members who went before him.

Billy's hands were rarely still — whether he was pickin' his guitar, tending to his garden, or working on a carpentry project, he poured his heart into everything he did. He loved music, coffee with cream, a good scratch ticket at Cargo, a cold Mountain Dew, and never turned down a game of bingo. His blue jean shirts, Marlboro Lights, and quick wit were just part of what made him unforgettable.

But more than anything, Billy was about family. He loved them fiercely, laughed often, and made sure they all knew exactly how much they meant to him. His humor, his wisdom, and his gentle way of making everyone feel at home will be missed beyond words — but his spirit will live on in every story, every song, and every moment of laughter he leaves behind.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Loupe officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. The burial will follow at the Allison Family Cemetery.
