Obituary

Bobby Dean Goff

Saltville, VA

Bobby Dean Goff, age 65, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023, at Smyth County Community Hospital. Bobby was born in 1957 and had 5 other siblings. As a younger man, in his earlier life, Bobby worked in the construction business with H.S. Williams for some odd years. He was also a second-hand mechanic preceded by his father. He helped his father tend to their land and crops during his younger days. He enjoyed hobbies such as playing pool, working, lifting weights, driving cars and trucks and many other things. He also enjoyed watching movies, tv shows, and he loved good food. In his later years, he spent a lot of time as a father and as a mechanic working on sports bikes, trucks, and cars. He also tended to his land even in his later years. He loved spending time with his family and many dear friends. I could go on and on about Bobby, but I think I will leave it there. He was a good man, and a good father, and I do believe that heaven received one of their children on that day.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Edith Smith Goff; two brothers, Junior and Lloyd Goff; and two sisters, Lois Miller and Carol Woodward; his first wife, Revonda Ann Dean Goff, and his second wife, Rona Allison Goff; and his partner in crime, "Doobie".

Bobby is survived by his daughters, and two stepdaughters, Shawna Goff, Kelly Cahill Coleman, and Chandra and Rhianna Allison; son, Dillon Allison; one sister, Glenna Goff; his three grandsons, Dalton Goff, Tyler Austin, and Levi Coleman; special nieces, Becky Sells and Crystal Ford and nephew, G.L Woodward.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Loupe officiating. Committal services will be held at the Goff Smith Family Cemetery in Henry Town in Saltville. The family will be receiving friends from 12 until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
