Bonda Mae Taylor Jackson, age 78, of Saltville, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. She was of the Holiness Faith and was a daily Bible reader. She loved her Lord and Savior with all of her heart and was ready to meet her Jesus. She was a hard worker and held numerous jobs over the years working in several factories and flea markets. She was born on May 15, 1945, to the late Edward Preston and Virginia Lee Taylor. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by several siblings, Jeff, Andy, Silas, Troy, Roy, Morris, Paul, Bob, Orville, Earl, Roxie, Juanita, Loretta, Hester, Thelma, and Vivian.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Anita Cook and husband Lowell; her brother, Fullen Taylor; three sisters-in-law, Patty, Norma, and Lois Taylor; and also, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Doctors, nurses and staff for their love and care during her stay at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Henderson Funeral Home with Rev. Roger O'Quinn officiating. The burial will follow at Fall Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
