Bonnie Lynn Coleman Owens passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, just one week shy of her 58th birthday.

Born on August 8, 1968, Bonnie was the youngest of seven children born to the late Don Coleman and Frances “Frankie” Coleman. As the baby of the family, she brought a special light into the lives of those around her from the very beginning.

Including her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by an infant sister, Pamela Sue Coleman; brothers, David Coleman, Joe Coleman, and Donnie Coleman.

Bonnie was known for her kindness and the genuine love she showed to everyone she met. She had a beautiful way of making people feel welcomed and cared for. Her infectious laughter and positive attitude were truly her superpowers. No matter what challenges life placed before her, Bonnie gave all that she had always putting others before herself.

Bonnie’s faith was the foundation of her life. She found peace, comfort, and strength through her relationship with the Lord and had a deep love for studying God’s Word. Her Bible was a constant companion, and her faith guided the way she lived—She trusted God’s plan through every season of life and inspired others through the quiet strength of her faith.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and treasured every moment spending time with family and friends. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or simply being together, Bonnie’s greatest happiness came from the love she shared with those closest to her.

Bonnie is survived by her loving husband, Bo Owens; her daughter, Leighann Holmes; and her son, Andy Holmes. She was a proud and grandmother to Keelan, Jackson, Sailor, Chloe, and Landon, who brought immense joy to her life.

She is also survived by her siblings: Sandra Richardson (Charles), Donna Broyles, (Danny Broyles), and Jerry Coleman (Michael). Bonnie leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews, as well as a wide circle of friends and loved ones who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Bonnie leaves behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and the lasting impact of her beautiful spirit.

May the words of 2 Timothy 4:7–8 beautifully reflect Bonnie’s life:

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2026 at Old Glade Presbyterian Cemetery with Pastor James Walls officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home.
