Brenda Sue Gillespie September 3, 1954 - June 1, 2023

Saltville, VA - Brenda Sue Gillespie, passed away on June 1, 2023, at the age of 68. She was born on September 3, 1954, to the late, Charles and Elsie Roberts Gillespie.

Brenda Sue was a proud graduate of Rich Valley High School, where she made lifelong friends and cherished memories. She furthered her education by earning an associate's degree in computer networking from Virginia Highlands Community College.

A devoted member of Calvary Bible Church in Saltville, Brenda was very strong in her faith. She actively participated in the church community and served as an adult Sunday school teacher. Her warm heart and compassionate nature touched the lives of many, and she will be dearly missed by her fellow church members. Brenda enjoyed fishing in her free time and she also loved to cook.

She is survived by her four brothers, Douglas Gillespie of Bloxsom, VA, Jerry Gillespie and wife Janet of Suffolk, VA, Larry Gillespie and wife Tammy of Rich Valley, VA, and David Gillespie of Lenoir, NC; special niece, Matina Gillespie; special friend, Marsha Smith and husband Raymond; and also, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Blackwell officiating. The burial will follow at Ridgedale Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
