Chilhowie, VA Brian David DeBord, age 57, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 14, 2021. He was a member of Grosses Creek Baptist Church. Brian was a devoted christian and family man. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold DeBord, Sr. and Beatrice L. DeBord; and one brother, Harold DeBord, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Melissa Johnson DeBord; his mother and father-in-law who he loved dearly, Stanley and Linda Johnson; sister-in-laws, Sharron DeBord, Teresa Barker and husband Mark, Sandy Eller and husband Joe, Stanley Johnson, and Robert Johnson; aunt, Brenda Frye and husband Bud; nieces and nephews, Lance DeBord and wife Sherry, Misty Grace, Mark Barker and wife Amber, Ben Barker and friend Mitch, Amanda McClure and husband Charles, Laura Terry and husband Everette, B.J. Kinder, Ethan Johnson and Kiana Buskill; a host of great nieces and nephews; and his very loved fur babies, Bella, Bailey, Cindy, and Charlie. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Grosses Creek Baptist Church with Pastor George Jessie officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. The burial will follow in the Grosses Creek Baptist Cemetery.
