Candy Lynn Powers Bentley, age 63, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2023 at her home. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother. Candy was a creative soul who found immense joy in crafting, painting, and crochet. Her artistic endeavors showcased not only her skill but also the love and dedication she poured into everything she created. She was an excellent cook, and enjoyed cooking for all of her family. She worked several years as a Legal Assistant for Morefield and Largen Law office. Above all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years of marriage, Danny Lee Bentley; her father, Rufus Pat Powers; granddaughter, Bethany Bentley; grandparents, Candy Man Allison and Irene Allison Stines, Ed and Lillie Bell Powers.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Carol Powers; daughters, Felisha Anderson (CJ) and Allison Bentley (David), Tammy Bentley, and Carol Hampton; son, Dennis Bentley (Heather); her grandchildren, Connor, Culyn, Cadyn, Darrell, Patrick, Felicity, Damian, Kendra, Emma, Charis, Andrew, Matthew, Faith, and Logan; sisters, Trish Surber, Shirley Waddle (Ronnie), Susan Hutton, Brenda Hale; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Caris Hospice Group for their love and care.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor John Jackson officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. After the service the burial will follow at the Elizabeth Cemetery in Saltville.
