Carl Scott Thompson

July 30, 1961 - December 20, 2022

Carl Scott Thompson, age 61 passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. He was a loving husband, a giving father, a chef and a patriot. Carl was all of these things and more. Everyone who knew him felt the warmth that he exuded, and was touched by the care he extended to those closest to him.

From his time in the Marine Corps, through the birth of his son, to the creation and continual growth of his family, Carl lived his life to the fullest with the fervor that couldn't be snuffed out, even at the end of his time on earth.

Carl celebrated his 31 years of marriage in October, to the love of his life, Ronda. During that time the couple grew in each other, in faith and in love, overcoming any and all obstacles that came before them. He passed peacefully, with his wife's voice carrying him on to the Lord.

The feverous joy that he carried within will continue through his wife Ronda, his son Christopher, his daughter-in-law Miranda and his grandchildren, Aidan and Rio, the inheritors of his legacy and vehicles that carry his memory ever forward.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at D.R. Henderson Funeral Home with Rev. Tracy Puckett officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 until 11:00 am prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the VFW.
