Carol Rose Hughes Cook Chilhowie, VA Carol Rose Hughes Cook, age 79, passed away at Bristol Regional Medical Center on Sunday, June 6, 2021. She was a strong, independent, hardworking, loving mother. She loved cooking, and spending time with her family. Carol enjoyed flea market trips, watching old western movies, and fishing in her free time. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lillie Kate Hughes; one son, Carlis Cook; and six siblings, Corine Terry, Robert, Clifton, Curtis, Carl, and Clayton Hughes. She is survived by her one daughter, Beverly Hogston and husband Bob; two sons, Corbet "CB" Guy and wife Tammy, Brian Cook and wife Shawna; one brother, Coy Hughes; three sisters, Connie Taylor, Clara Ledford, Catherine Mannix; four grandchildren, Danielle Owens, Corey Guy, Bobby Hogston, and Abbie Cook; and several nieces and nephews.
