St. Petersburg, FL Carolyn Henderson Jensen, age 87, of St. Petersburg Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 5, 2021. Born in Saltville, VA, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Hiram and Thelma Henderson. She attended Longwood College, earning a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Music. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the United Methodist Church, and the Rockville Christian Church where she taught Sunday school classes. She enjoyed playing Bridge and Bingo, and was an accomplished cook, crafter and seamstress, making blankets and outfits for her grand and great-grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 43 years, Allen Jensen, and her sister, Sally Henderson McCready and her husband Rodney, formerly of Lake Charles, LA. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Karen Rodriguez and husband Carlos of St. Petersburg, FL; two sons, Kent and wife Kathy of West Chester, PA, and Michael Jensen and wife Kim of Currituck, NC. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Cristy Hanft and husband Will of Seattle, WA; Carlos Rodriguez and wife Whitney of Tampa FL; Daniel Jensen and wife Andrea; grandchildren, Brigid, Megan, and Kevin Jensen of Pennsylvania, Allen, Charlotte, and Heather Jensen of Poquoson VA and their mother Krista Jensen; 4 great- grandchildren, Madeline (Cristy), Anastasia, Genevieve, and Rosalie (Daniel). A private graveside service will be held at a future date.
