Carolyn Carter South, 82, of Chapmanville, WV formerly of Saltville, VA passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022.

Carolyn was born on September 19, 1940 in Saltville, VA to the late Ray Carter and Susie Blevins Carter.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesse R.C. "Bobby" South; her brothers Billy, Carl, and Jimmy Carter; sisters, Betty Carter, Evelyn Harmon, and Shelby Davidson.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Tambria (Allen) of Chapmanville, WV, Robyne Quick of Saltville, VA, and Lisa (Chip) Short of Cross Lanes, WV; grandchildren, Rebekah (Matt) Wood and Michael Stowers of Chapmanville, WV, Kaitlyn (Derek) Maynard of Lexington, KY, Brandon Quick of Norfolk, VA, Rachel Quick of Tampa, FL, Matthew (Amanda) Short of Charleston, WV, Brittany Short and Joshua Short of Cross Lanes, WV; great grandchildren, Gwendolyn and Charlotte Wood and Hazel Maynard; brother, Richard (Nora) Blevins of S.C. and numerous other family members.

Carolyn was a member of the Church of Christ.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Mt. Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring, VA with burial following.
