Tannersville, VA Carolyn Venable, age 64, passed away on September 7, 2021. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and aunt. She had a beautiful and contagious smile. Carolyn was a proud self-made woman who dedicated her life to her family. She enjoyed her life, and all of those in it. She was preceded in death by her husband of 13 years, best friend and soulmate, James "Jimbo" Boyd Venable; her parents, Montague and Gertie Helton; her first husband, Kenny Goff; and brother Montie Helton. She is survived by her grandchildren, Ethan, Isaiah, Katie, Tommy, Nick, and Corin; children, Wes Goff and Kendrea Miller; brothers and sisters, Ron Helton, Brenda Prater, Betty Jo Taylor, and Johnny Helton; brother-in-law, Doug Taylor; step children, Scott Venable and Robin Boardwine; step grandchildren, Adam and Andrew Boardwine; special friends, Brad and Sandy Carter, Jack Davis, Sis Woodward, Ronald Lee Goff, and all of her Tannersville family; several nieces and nephews, and the extended Goff family. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Martin officiating.
