Carolyn went to be with the loving arms of the Lord on October 27, 2022. She was born in Bluefield WV on September 22, 1947 to Ruby Lee Lambert and Anthony Belton Vengen. She owned a nursery in upstate New York which she ran with her husband George Ottzen for over 30 Years.

She was preceded in death by her son, Vincent; mother, Ruby Oscarson; father, Anthony Vengen; her brothers, Micheal and William; Sisters, Kathryn, and Patricia.

She is survived by her loving husband George Ottzen of Meadowview; sisters, Victoria Banta (Randy) of Unadilla NY, Jamie Matuszczak (Jeff) of Eaton NY, Terressa Vengen of Delhi NY; brother, Daniel Vengen (Susan) of Lubbock TX; nieces, Natasha Vengen of Ashville NC, Rachelle Williamson of Otego, NY and Rebecca Vengen of Temple, TX; nephews, Anthony Wahl of Milford, NY, Eric Levenson of Unadilla, NY and Jacob Vengen of Fort Worth, TX.

She was a private person in her personal life but larger than life when in public. She adored her German Sheppard's and enjoyed retiring in Virginia. She was an accomplished entrepreneur. She was a woman of many talents. She loved making soap, canning, growing her own vegetables, and crocheting. She was a big advocate for animals and shelters.
