Charles Wayne "Charlie" Cornett, age 54, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at his home in Saltville.  Charlie was born May 12, 1970, in Smyth County to the late Charles Jasper Cornett and Judy Ann Fowler Tuggle.

Charlie loved to ride his motorcycle and loved tinkering with anything and everything.  He loved his fur baby "Sapphire" that passed away a couple months previous to him. He said they always kept each other going.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Jacob Cornett; his brothers, Roy, Richard, Christopher, and David; sister, Melissa Cross; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Charles Wayne Cornett will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Saltville, Va.  Those serving as pallbearers will be Richard Cornett, Christopher Cornett, Tommy Wood, and Richard Stiltner.
