Christopher "Chris" Eric Bunch, age 42, passed away at Smyth County Community Hospital on Monday, October 9, 2023. Chris was born on October 20, 1980 in Smyth County, Virginia. He was a graduate of Northwood High School. He loved art, music, collecting comic books and most of all, he loved his family. Chris was an EMT and a member of the Saltville Rescue Sqaud for several years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Worley and Mattie Allison, and several aunts and uncles.

Chris is survived by his wife of 14 years, Kayla Brickey Bunch; mother, Janice Allison Lowe; sister, Rebecca Bunch of Charlottesville, VA; father-in-law, Jeff Brickey and wife Lavonda; mother-in-law, Melissa Brickey and companion, Steve Pennington; brother-in-law, David Combs and companion, Mary Bowman Lester; niece, Keira Combs; special cousins, Rhonda and Alex Samaniego; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at New Life Celebration Ministries in Adwolfe, Va. The address is 1123 Grubmore Road, Marion, Va. Everyone is welcome to attend.
