Clarence R. Jones, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.  He had lived in Pigeon Forge, TN for several years and attended First Baptist Church of Pigeon Forge before returning to Saltville.

C. R. was born in Saltville, VA on June 28, 1932, the first son of the late Clarence R. Jones, Sr. and Mary Keesee Jones.  He was employed by Olin Corp. and was co-owner of Marshall's Plumbing and Heating.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  C.R. enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Marshall Jones, his brothers, R. Donald Jones and Curtis H. Jones.

C. R. is survived by his sons, M. Wayne Jones (Pat), and James R. Jones (Kelly); daughter, Teresa J. Gillespie (Sam); grandchildren, David R. Jones (Monique), Ashley Fullen (Hunter), Holly Jones (Anthony), S. Joseph Gillespie (Jessica), and Christopher R. Gillespie (Kylie); great-grandchildren, Cannon Blake, Skylar Matney, Jackson Fullen, Colt Gillespie, Braylen Cole, and Ryleigh Cole; brother, Jerry Jones (Betty); sister, Phyllis Ann Duncan (Lane); and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at D. R. Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville. A graveside service will follow at Westwood Memorial Gardens in Chilhowie, VA with Pastor Jeremy Dunn officiating.
