Rev. Clarence W. Frye, Sr. "Swamp Molly" Saltville, VA Rev. Clarence W. Frye, Sr. "Swamp Molly", age 90, gained his heavenly wings on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Rev. Frye was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. He was the former Pastor of Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church located in Upper Poor Valley in Saltville. He was a devoted Christian who enjoyed reading his Bible daily. Rev. Frye always had a good story to tell. He always loved to make you laugh. He is preceded in death by his wife Lucille Chapman Frye; son, Clarence Frye, Jr.; son-in-law, Bobby Johnson; his parents, Milton and Dolly Sessor Frye; and several brothers and sisters. Rev. Frye is survived by his daughters, Linda Johnson, Patty Jackson (Earnest), and Lora Neumeyer (Todd); seven grandchildren, Ernie Jackson, Brandi Storie, Gabe Johnson, Michael Johnson, Willie Frye, Hope Sequoya, and Natasha Frye; several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his very faithful furry friend, "Cool Breeze". Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at D.R. Henderson Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Surber officiating. The burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 12 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. Ernie Jackson, Todd Neumeyer, Marcus Storie, Gabe Johnson, Michael Johnson, and Michael Holmes will be serving as pallbearers, honorary pallbearer, Earnest Jackson.
