Connie Wilkinson (nee Minton/Gironda), age 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Connie was born on July 25, 1946, in Saltville Va. to the late Willie and Daphne Taylor Minton. Connie loved to cook and often served up nourishing meals to family and friends. Most importantly, Connie was a woman of very strong Christian faith and studied her bible daily. She attended Northwood Fellowship Church in Saltville. Connie always made sure that everyone she met knew the way home. She wasn't concerned with today's world but was concerned with the next. She leaves behind a legacy of people who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior through her example and her testimony.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Gironda; and step son-in-law, Henry Lawson.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 25 years, Bruce and family; Evelyn Kelb-Minton and family, Ginger and Albert Mortimer and family, Rose Hayton-Minton and family, Willie (Bruce) Minton and family, David Minton and family, and Rhonda Minton and family.

Funeral services for Connie Wilkinson will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Gwin officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow at Elizabeth Cemetery in Saltville, Va.
