Saltville, VA Curtis L. Frye, age 79, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. He was a United States Airforce Veteran. He worked as a firefighter for Bristol Tennessee Fire Department and retired in 1996. Curtis was a member of the William King Masonic Lodge #227. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Carrie Frye; four brothers, Edward "Wick" Frye and wife Barbara, Fred Frye, Herbert "Cubby" Frye, and Paul Frye; one sister, Melba Sword and husband Jack. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Frye and wife Kerri; one brother, Charles "Bud" Frye and wife Brenda; three grandsons, Dalton Frye, Chase Frye, and Jonathan Hart; special nephew, William Frye; and also, several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis 38105. A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Mitchell and Danny Davidson officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5 until 7 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Elizabeth Cemetery.
