Dale Evans, age 74, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2023 with his family lovingly by his side. He was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven after his courageous battle with cancer.

Dale was born on October 5, 1949 to Monroe and Pauline Hayden Evans. He was a loving husband, dad, pawpaw, brother, and friend. He was employed with General Dynamics for over 38 years. He enjoyed his retirement by spending time with his family, being outdoors, photography, and gardening. His generosity was shown every year as he loved to share his harvest of crops with his family, friends, and neighbors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randall Evans, and father and mother-in-law, Curtis and Rachel "Poochie" Kestner.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years, Anne Evans; his daughters, Rachel and Chad Myers and Tanya and Eric Kirk; his grandchildren, whom he adored, Caitlin Myers and Denim Kirk; his brothers and sisters, Helen Evans, James Evans (Teresa), Betty Evans, Garry Evans (Mickie), Velma Collins (Justin), and Stacy Evans (Patty); brother-in-law, Butch Kestner (Annette); sister-in-law, Sue Evans; many nieces and nephews; special niece and great nephew, Brooke Kestner and Reed Pairgin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 24, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville, Va. with Pastor Stacy Evans officiating. The family with receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring, Va
