Daniel Wayne Delp, Sr., age 51, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Smyth County Community Hospital. He was a selfless person who loved his family and he was an avid outdoorsman. Daniel was preceded by his father, Gerald "Scott" Wayne Delp; infant brother, Johnson Wayne Delp; and his grandson, Mayson Scott Delp.

He is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Delp of Saltville; children, Brittany Delp of Saltville, Daniel Delp, Jr. and Ericka Hayden of Saltville, Randy Delp and Sabrina Brown of Wytheville; his mother, Mary Delp of Saltville; siblings, Stephanie and Graydon Pickle, Sue Walker, Davy and Missy Delp, Tim and Kristen Delp, Mike Delp; honorary children, Joel Cregger, Jr., Joel Gross, Austin Fisher; JoAnn Delp; special sister-in-law, Rosetta Gross; grandchildren, Tidus Whiteaker, and Grayson Delp; special aunts and uncles, JoAnn Delp, Willis Anderson, Brenda Anderson, and Lynette Ford and several more; special cousins, Tom Blevins, and Dave Cregger; many special nieces and nephews who loved him dearly; special friends, Mark Warren, Erik Puckett, Don Robbins, and Mikkie Hart.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:00 pm prior to the service.
