Chilhowie, Va. Danny Lee Prater, age 70, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 at Valley Health Care in Chilhowie, Va. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting. Danny was employed as a welder at Titan Wheels and several construction jobs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Rosie Prater; sisters, Gerlene McCrosky, and Gladys Marie Holmes; and brothers, Duane Prater, and Franklin Prater. Danny is survived by his sisters, Mary Quesenberry of Cornelius, NC, and Sherlene Pinnix of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Robert Prater of Saltville, VA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
