Saltville, Va. David Wayne Hatfield, age 58, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at his home. He was a lifelong residence of Saltville, Va. He was an avid Virginia Tech fan, he liked fishing and camping, and he cherished his friends. David was a 1982 graduate from R. B. Worthy High School and a "shaker for life". He was preceded in death by his parents, William McCoy and Barbara Lewis Hatfield; one brother, Rufus Garnett (R.G.) Hatfield. David is survived by his brothers, William Coy "Butch" Hatfield and wife Darlene of Chilhowie, and Rickey Hatfield and wife Teresa Fullen of Saltville; sisters, Sue Martin of Oakridge, TN, and Norma Arnold of Saltville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Haga and Rev. Barry Loupe officiating.
