David Lee McGhee Saltville, VA David Lee McGhee, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Johnston Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. David was an avid hunter and never met a stranger. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his two dogs. He always loved watching old westerns and football. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Dorothy McGhee; two brothers, Johnny McGhee and Mike McGhee. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary McGhee; one son, Eugene McGhee and wife Emmanuela; two daughters, Kim Frye and husband John, and Marlena Jackson and husband Billy; one brother, Mark McGhee and wife Donna; sister-in-law, Linda McGhee;nine grandchildren, Taylor McGhee, Ben Jackson, Colton Frye, Abby Frye, Cody Frye, Brayden McGhee, Peyton McGhee, Daniel Jackson, and Nathan Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Laila Reynolds, and Diesel Jackson; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to recognize the staff at Johnston Memorial Hospital for their care and comfort during these difficult times. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Elizabeth Cemetery in Saltville, Va.
