Saltville, Va. David Henry Neal, age 62, passed away peacefully in his earthly home on June 2, 2022 and is now walking the streets of gold in his heavenly home. For the past two years Dave was homebound and battling COPD which limited his abilities greatly; being cared for by his wife, daughter, and young granddaughter, Sydney (Poppaw's Punky). Most may be unaware of Dave's recent suffering as he was a very humble man and always showed more concern for others rather than himself. He was the definition of a family man, giving his four children a loving and happy home filled with wonderful memories. His love shined even brighter for his four grandchildren who he adored. Dave is survived by his wife of 40 years; Donna Coe Neal; children, Jason Neal, Chad Neal (Brandy), Danielle Neal, and Sonni Neal; grandchildren, Riley Neal, Sydney Neal, Layla Neal, and Scarlett Neal; brother, Danny Neal (Sherry); special sister-in-law, Susie Coe Worley; special brother-in-law, Paul Colley of New Jersey; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Evans and Rev. Barry Loupe officiating. A visitation will be held from 5 until 6:00 p.m. prior to the service. The family would like to extend special thanks to Kindred Hospice and especially to Christine, Jenny, and Brittany.
