David Allen Talbert, age 67, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va. surrounded by his loving family.

David was born March 19, 1958 to the late Olie Talbert and Martha Hymen Allison.  Including his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Talbert.

David enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish and garden.  He was the master of "fried bread" and taught his children how to make it.  He was very musically talented and played the guitar and also taught his son Frankie how to play.  He loved all of his "fur babies", Pooter, Little Girl, Dixie, Lucy, Chains, Bear, and Puppy.  Most of all he loved his daughter, son, and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his loving memory is his daughter, Deanna Coleman; his son, Frankie Talbert and girlfriend, Kaley Jackson; his grandchildren, Lilyanna Talbert, and Colton Land; and special friend, Jeffery Land.

According to David's wishes, there will be no services.
