Dawn Marie Collins, age 59, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024. Dawn was born on October 5, 1964, in Smyth County, VA to the late Kenneth Wayne and Dreama Ann Davidson Minton. Including her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jeff Minton and Kenneth Minton, Jr.

Dawn liked watching TV, she loved her stuffed animals, and she enjoyed getting her nails done with her favorite color of nail polish which was pink. She was very feisty and loved fussing with her sister Michelle. Dawn had a wonderful favorite phrase that she shared with everyone, and this was "I love everybody."

Left to cherish her memories are her sister, Michelle Sheppard and husband Billy; brothers, Alvin Minton, and James Minton and special friend, Jerrie Harris; several nieces and nephews; great nieces; lots of cousins and two special cousins, Debbie Hardin and Robin Davidson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville, Va. with Minister Phillip Harris officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Elizabeth Cemetery (new section) in Saltville, Va.
