Saltville, Va. Delilah "Dee Dee" Frye, 64, a lifelong resident of Saltville, Virginia, departed this life Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia. Dee Dee was born August 9, 1957 and was a graduate of R.B. Worthy High School in Saltville, Virginia. She held various banking positions over her career and most recently was the Branch Manager of The Bank of Saltville, a branch of the Bank of Marion. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, beloved sister, and friend to everyone she met. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, knitting, baking, reading her Kindle, watching Lifetime movies, swimming in her pool, riding horses, going to church and Bible studies, and she especially loved spending time with her granddaughter, Layla. Dee Dee was preceded in death by her parents, Blair "Ham" and Betty Ratcliff, and sister, Charlene Shade. She is survived by her loving husband, Montgomery "Monty" Frye; son, Shane Varner; daughter, Johnna Eller, and her husband, Cory; stepdaughter, Brett McVey, and her husband, Trent; stepson, Zach Frye; granddaughter; Layla Eller; brother, Larry Ratcliff; brother-in-law, Cary Shade; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. She also had people in her life that were very dear to her as if they were her own children, such as Mychal Perkins, Tony Loureiro (Jamie), and special grandchildren, Alexus Perkins and Simon Loureiro; loyal "furry" companions Parker and Bailey; and best friends, Kim Pauley and Star Call; and many other loving family members and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Loupe and Pastor Frank Branson officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
