Dennis Wayne Snow

Chilhowie, VA – Dennis Wayne Snow, age 75, passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Dennis was a hard worker and a proud, dedicated employee of the Virginia Department of Transportation for 44 years. Known by his co-workers as "the map," he could give directions to just about anywhere, and his knowledge of the roads was second to none. His work ethic and reliability earned him the respect of everyone around him. In his free time, Dennis enjoyed woodworking and carpentry. He had a special talent for building and making furniture, and he took great pride in creating pieces that his family and friends will cherish for years to come.

Above all, Dennis was a loving husband, father, and brother. He lived his life with a smile on his face and never met a stranger. He was a natural storyteller, always ready to share a good tale about friends and folks he knew. Generous and selfless, Dennis would do anything for anyone in need. His kindness, sense of humor, and friendship to many will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth Snow; his sister, Drema Barrett; and brother-in-law, Alfred Osborne, Jr.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 52 years of marriage, Patty Campbell Snow; his son, Eric Snow; two sisters, Brenda Burrows and husband John, and Rita Frye and husband Steve; special friend, Daniel Walker; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery with Pastor Michael Rysko officiating. Everyone is asked to please meet at the cemetery.
