Doris Jean Davidson, age 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Valley Health Care. She was born on May 11, 1942 to the late William "Bill" and Nellie Delp. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who was deeply devoted to her family, always finding joy in their company, especially with her grandson. She was a dog lover, who always cherished the companionship and joy her furry friends brought into her life. Doris had a passion for cooking, especially during the holidays when she would prepare big, delicious meals for her loved ones. She was an avid gardener, spending countless hours tending to her garden. She took great pleasure in canning the foods she grew, ensuring her pantry was always stocked with homemade goodness. In her free time, she also enjoyed crocheting and sewing.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Graham Davidson, Sr.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Graham "Junior" Davidson and wife Jodi of Chilhowie, VA; her pride and joy, her grandson, Will Davidson; special friends, Alice Hall, and Bev Delp; and her beloved dog, Trooper.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Henderson Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Elswick officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. The burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
