Doris "Patsy"
Ella Rose
Jan 31, 1937 — Apr 3, 2024
Doris Ella "Patsy" Rose
Saltville, VA
Doris Rose, affectionately known as Patsy, was born on January 31, 1937, and went to be with her Heavenly Father on April 3, 2024, after a lengthy illness.
Preceding her in death was her husband of over 70 years, Everett Rose; mother, Flossie Stanley; and granddaughter, Madalyn Bock.
Patsy was a member of Mountain View First Church of God and later the Chilhowie First Church of God, actively serving for many years until her health declined. She was a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her legacy is one of a life of love and commitment to the Lord, her family, friends, and community. Patsy let the Light of the Lord shine through her and was an inspiration to all.
Patsy's passion was cooking and feeding everyone she could reach. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, known for its warmth and unforgettable sourdough bread, fudge, and country style steak among many other dishes which she graciously shared with everyone. Patsy's memory will be a blessing to her family and live on in our hearts forever.
Her spirit is carried on by daughters Teresa Frye (Jeff), Laura Bock (Tim); son David Rose (Joanne); grandsons, Josh Frye, Zach Frye (Sarah), and Nathan Bock; great-granddaughters, Kennedy Frye and Mattie Rose Frye.
A visitation to honor and celebrate Patsy's life will be held from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville, VA. prior to the procession to the cemetery. The graveside services will begin at 3:00 PM at Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery, Valley Road, Saltville, VA 24370 with Rev. Bobby Dunn and Pastor Michael Rysko officiating.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Josh Frye and Nathan Bock, sons-in-law, Jeff Frye and Tim Bock, cousins, Rick and Stacy Poston. Honorary Pallbearers will be Zach Frye, Gerald Hall, and Robert Osborne.
