Dreama Kay Rouse, age 71, passed away on April 21, 2025 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born in Saltville, VA on February 10, 1954 to the late James David and Virginia Louise Brickey Eskridge.  Dreama was a homemaker and loved to cook and had an uncurable sweet tooth.  She liked watching westerns and cooking shows and listening to most types of music.  She was an ultimate fan of Elvis Presley.  Her most significant accomplishments were raising her six children, whom she loved dearly.  Dreama was courageous, inspirational, kind, loving, funny, and could be a "ball of fire" at times.

Including her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jeannie Ann Mitchell; brothers, Harvey Eskridge, David Eskridge, and Curtis Eskridge; one sister, Patricia McAllister.

Those left to cherish her loving memory is her husband of 55 years, Harry Eugene Rouse; sons, Gary Wayne Rouse, and Clifton Douglas Rouse of Meadowview, Bobby Joe Rouse and Joseph Scott Rouse of Glade Spring; and one daughter, Virginia Michelle Rouse of Glade Spring; one brother, Eddie Eskridge and wife Carrie of Chilhowie; grandchildren, Brandi Rackowski and husband Joe, Faith Walls and husband Brandon, Christopher Rouse, and Cameron Rouse; special honorary grandchild, Gracie Roe; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service for Dreama Kay Rouse will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Pleasant View Cemetery also known as Widener's Valley Cemetery in Glade Spring, VA with Pastor Junior Gobble officiating.  Everyone is asked to please meet at the cemetery.
