Dwight Alan Mumpower, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Dwight was born February 2, 1953, in Fayetteville, NC to the late David and Martha Cleatus Mumpower. He was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School. Dwight has battled a lengthy illness and was a patient at University of Virginia Medical Center where the staff referred to him as "farm tough". Dwight loved anything mechanical and was the owner and operator of Old Glade Automotive in Glade Spring. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to many.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Coe.

Survived to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 24 years, Kitty Sue Rosenbaum Mumpower; his daughter, Sonja Ditto (Erik Davenport) of Glade Spring; one sister, Patsy Smith of Glade Spring; brother, David Mumpower (Debbie) of Glade Spring; sister-in-law, Janie Coe of Myrtle Beach, SC; granddaughters, Zoe Davenport, Belle Ditto, and Sophie Ditto; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Dwight will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2024, at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor David Mumpower officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. A committal service will follow

at Old Glade Presbyterian Cemetery in Glade Spring, VA. Pallbearers will be Josh Mumpower, Dylan Coe, Chad Coe, Billy Bordwine, Jonathan Bordwine, and Austin Carter.
