Dwight Omar Tolbert

Saltville, Va.

Dwight Omar Tolbert, age 76, passed away at his home on Thursday, September 29, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Colley Tolbert; parents,Mack Omar and Ollie Mae Tolbert; brothers, Roger Tolbert and Tony Tolbert. Hewas employed by VDOT for 30 years. He loved taking pictures and was avolunteer for the Saltville rescue squad for 9 years.

Dwight is survived by his children, Mack Tolbert and wife Ashley, Vanessa Ercelino and husband Albert, Brian Tolbert; his special dog, Reese; brother, Curtis Tolbert, sister Jimmie Whitehead; grandchildren, Elizabeth Roselynn French,

Albert Michael Omar Ercelino; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to a dear family friend who was a caregiver to Dwight, Tanya Dubbs. They would also like to thank Gabby Smith, R.N. from Hospice Care and Carrie Boone Hastings, C.N.A.

A visitation will be held at 5 p.m. until 7p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022, at Henderson Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7.p.m. with Byrd Frye officiating. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at the Allison Family Cemetery.
