Edgar "Ed" Warren Sweat Glade Spring, VA Edgar "Ed" Warren Sweat, age 88, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was a United States Army Veteran. Ed worked for Washington County School systems as a bus driver for 29 years. He was always adored by all of the kids on his bus. He was preceded in death by his wife Phyliss "Red" Sweat; his parents, Hal and Blanche Sweat; four brothers, Hal Sweat, Jr., Luther Sweat, Ralph Sweat, and Teddy Sweat; two sisters, Evangeline Hayden, and Estelle Lowe. He is survived by his two sons, Bobby Sweat (Vicki Wilson), and Gary Sweat; two sisters, Claudine Thomas, and Jeanette Sweat; one grandson, Eric Sweat and wife Tara; one great-grandson, Bryce Sweat; brother-in-law, Jerry Ferguson and wife Ann; sisters-in-law, Helen Hicks and husband Jim, Mildred Elmore and husband Bob, Betty Billings, Deloris Ferguson, Judy Sweat, and Lois Sweat; several nieces and nephews; and his special friend, his dog, "Ringo". A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Glade Presbyterian Cemetery with Pastor Robert Blankenship and Pastor Danny Mefford officiating.
